What started out as a little project to brighten hibernation season, has turned into an opportunity to funnel my creativity into a physical storefront. Come see my random collection of awesomeness at: Weirdo Thrift 26 W Main St. Evansville, WI 53536.

Self Portrait-Lacy Lacy

Trying to describe myself feels very strange. The only thing that comes to mind is that I am not a robot.

**I received some feedback that although my robot comment is funny, some people might actually want to know about the person they are considering giving patronage to. I have thought a lot about it. I believe that what allows the smiley face to be just slightly larger than the frowney face, is not taking oneself too seriously, not expecting perfection, and doing what you want. For whatever reason, I don’t want to summarize myself in a traditional way, it feels lame and inauthentic. I made this sight because I don’t have any more wall space in my apartment and I want to make more art. Plus, it’s fun thinking up titles and descriptions for each piece. I had fun putting this together and I hope that my playfulness inspires yours. And here is a list of some things that I like: Pretending that the carpet is lava, lilac trees, peanut butter, foreign cemeteries, nerds, the dictionary, vampires, mushrooms, people that are different than me, people that are the same as me, high water pants, dandelions, science fiction, eyeballs, and when robots transcend their nature in the name of love.
